I have to admit that Mac's taupe lipstick has definitely become by ultimate favourite! When I applied this matte lipstick I immediately fell in love with it! I always have preferred the matte finish on my lips and always will!Although I only just recently realised that my Taupe lipstick is exactly the same as my Revlon's Matte Coca Craving lipstick!

So I'm reviewing the MAC matte lipstick Taupe today! Read on to know why I love it so much!

My take on MAC Matte lipstick- Taupe: I had been on the lookout for my HG n*de lipstick for a long time, and I finally found it in Taupe. MAC describes it as a muted reddish-taupe brown lipstick, and it is just that. A little brownish in shade, this one goes on as the perfect n*de on my NC-42 skintone and pigmented lips. It has medium pigmentation, covers my lip pigmentation completely, and has a matte finish. You need well prepped lips before applying this one, because matte+ n*de can be a bad combo for chapped, dry lips. Otherwise my favorite shade to wear with heavy smokey eyes. Stays on for a good 3-4 hours, after which a bit of touch-up with lip-balm+ lipstick can make the combo stay for a couple of more hours. It has the signature MAC vanilla fragrance, which I kinda like. Overall, a great n*de shade for a lot of us with yellow skin-tones 🙂 Do try it 🙂

Pros of MAC Matte lipstick- Taupe:

- Matte finish (my favorite)
- Stays on for a good 3-4 hours
- MLBB shade for those with yellow skin undertones

Cons of MAC Matte lipstick- Taupe: None, except you need nicely scuffed/ prepped lips before application, else the dryness may make the lipcolor patchy.
Verdict: If you, like me, have been on the lookout for an MLBB (my lips but better) shade, do give this one a shot. Try it at the store before buying, though. I personally have found my HG n*de shade, and I'm totally in love! <3
